Bloodline is a computer game released in 2005 by the Czech company Zima Software. The game was released in Czech, Russian and Polish. A fan translation of the subtitles into English was also created.

Bloodline takes place in the 1960s in England and tells the story of a man who wakes up on a bed in a doctor’s office and does not remember anything, not even his name. The office is dingy, musty and there is blood everywhere, on the floor and in the sink. Behind the other door, a shocking find awaits the main character, a mutilated corpse holding a screwdriver in his hand, which he uses to open the door to the corridor after completing a certain sequence of tasks. There, however, he discovers that the Black Hill sanatorium, where he is located, is full of living corpses who are after him. After some time, he meets the director of the sanatorium, Dr. Brown, who tries to kill him. In the director’s office, he finds a mysterious medallion and a film of Nazis conducting experiments on humans. He goes through the underground passage in the yard to a nearby pub and discovers that the undead are everywhere, even outside the sanatorium. He also visits the shipyards, lighthouse, cemetery, sewers, quarry and church. The clues found indicate to the main character that Dr. Brown is behind all this horror.

The game falls into the action game category. The creators themselves describe it as action/adventure/survival horror. In addition to fighting terrifying enemies, the player also solves tasks such as “I have to find something to open the door with” or “the engine is stuck, I need to lubricate it”. The engine is directly created by Zima Software and is focused more on smaller interior spaces. Exterior spaces are no longer so well designed and the rendering horizon is very small.
